AUSTRALIA WIN SPIRIT AT 2009 WORLD GAMES
Spirit of the game is an essential and unique part of Ultimate. Australia's well deserved win at the highest level of competition is indeed worth of praise in our self refereeing sport. The top three teams at this tournament received the highest spirit scores - proving that spirit of the game goes hand in hand with being the best ultimate team.
The teams have assessed spirit at this years 2009 World Games using WFDF's new scoring system. They were asked to evaluate the opposition on their knowledge and use of the rules, fouls and body contact, fair-mindedness as well as positive attitude and self-control.
Credit goes out to Australia for this spirit win. Their spirit win shows that they have competed honestly and fairly and always shown respect for their opposition.
